What's New in the Garden

I transplanted a few of my irises last year to the back yard. They're just blooming now.

I was having my coffee outside on the deck this beautiful morning, when I heard some noise in the garden. A mule deer was eating the pea plants again. We had just started eating peas a few days ago. They're so tasty this year- probably because of all the rain.

With my pea plants in her belly, the doe decided to have a rest in my neighbour's yard.

I've had to resort to serious measures to protect the peas.

After putting up the raincoat for a scarecrow, I thought the Spongebob face in my daughter's colouring book finished the look. Hope it works!
