The birds are busier than ever in the morning. This Evening Grosbeak (male) was one of many at the feeder. Their loud single chirps may be heard above the other birds' songs.
A female Evening Grosbeak, stopping in for some sunflower seeds.
This Purple Finch, with its bright red crown and deeply notched tail, likes to feed both on the ground and at the feeder.
Their colour and sounds bring life into my back yard.
