With the deer fattening up this time of year, my back yard has become a popular feeding ground for the many mule deer in the area. Below are some of their favourite foods.
Cedar. I have since covered this one with burlap.
Young trees like this lilac and willows.
Sunflower seeds.
Crabapples. They prefer the larger varieties, but will feed at my neighbour's ornamental tree mid-winter when food is scarcer.
